Qualifications: This annual award is open to any student, who is a New York State resident and has been accepted by, or is currently enrolled in a Wildlife, Forestry, Zoology Program or at any Accredited College or Technical Institute. Qualifying courses of study may include: Botany, Biology, Entomology, Forestry, Ichthyology, Nature, Education, Ornithology, Wildlife Management and Zoology. The committee will appraise the study choice of each candidate. These areas are not meant to be all inclusive. Previous recipients are eligible to compete for the award.

Each year the Anglers Association sponsor two juniors to one of four DEC camps for one week.  During their stay they learn conservation, hunter safety and meet many new friends of the same age.
